Housed at the fantastic BENCAB Museum, a jewel of Filipino artistry tucked in the mountains of northern Luzon, "REUNION" depicts the happy ending of each journey, whether the sojourn itself was a pleasant one or not.

*** My thoughts and prayers are with the communities being battered by Typhoon MINA in the northeastern part of the Philippines as well as family and friends preparing for Hurricane IRENE by the eastern seaboard of the United States. May we all have happy reunions after these storms pass. ***

PhotoHunt: BACKWARDS

LEGO bricks are toys for kids. In the age of Harry Potter, Star Wars is a relic well past its prime. But when these two icons are merged in one exciting presentation, the geek in me cannot help but do a little dance for glee. These guys stand proudly at attention- and, too bad, behind locked glass cases!- at the lobby of the Golden Pine Hotel we recently stayed in for a week-long training.

The Force is definitely in that building.

Habang umaasa ang sambayanan sa Pangulo ng Pilipinas upang sila ay maisanggalang laban sa gutom, hirap, at iba pang mga kalaban, nakasalalay naman sa mga bakal na ito ang proteksyon ng Pangulo habang siya ay nasa Ang Mansyon, ang opisyal niyang tahanan sa Lungsod ng Baguio.

PROTEKSYON = PROTECTION While the rest of the country looks to the President to shield them from adversities like hunger and poverty, she relies on these metal gates as protection whenever she is in The Mansion, the official residence of the Philippine head of state whenever she is in the northern city of Baguio.

Isang karagatan ng pula ang malaking bahagi ng Baguio City noong isang linggo. Mistulang buong Kamaynilaan ay naroroon! Ang mga lugar na magkakalapit, oras ang bibilangin para matawid =0 Bagaman ganoon ang nangyayari, ang ganda, lamig, at akit ng siyudad ay nananatili pa rin nguni't marahang nagbabago...

PULA = RED Baguio City was awash with red brake lights as virtually the entire Metro Manila ascended to the Summer Capital for the long holidays. It took eons to get from one place to another! But having said that, Baguio's beauty, cool climate, and overall charm remains, while the world becomes privy to its evolving character...
